The government of Belarus has issued the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated October 11, 2021 No. 572 (Постановление Совета Министров Республики Беларусь от 11 октября 2021 г. № 572) which expands and formalizes the annual list of official non-working public holidays in Belarus in the calendar year 2022.

Today's announcement was made by the Council of Ministers of Belarus, without the announcement of an earlier draft as was the case in past years (2018-12-18, 2018-12-12, 2017-10-30, 2015-11-25 and 2015-11-13) but not all (2020-11-09, 2019-10-09 and 2016-11-10).

For the 9th consecutive year (2020-11-09, 2019-10-09, 2018-12-18, 2018-12-12, 2017-10-30, 2016-11-10, 2015-11-25, 2014-11-12, 2013-12-02 and 2012-12-01), the aforementioned resolution lists one-off bridge and day in lieu public holidays in Belarus for 2022, before the beginning of the year, rather than on a case-by-case basis as was the case in previous years (2012-06-03, 2012-04-09, 2012-03-01, and 2011-12-29).

Last-minute changes to the list of 2022 public holidays in Belarus are always possible (2019-12-19, 2019-12-18, 2019-12-09, 2019-11-27, 2014-12-17), though there were none, so far, in 2021.
