Belarus President, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has signed Decree No.206 which amends the Decree No.157 of 26 March 1998, "On national holidays, public holidays, and commemorative dates in the Republic of Belarus", by establishing a new annual holiday, the Day of People's Unity, on September 17.
The aforementioned Day of People's Unity, on September 17, does not amend the list of 2021 public holidays in Belarus, as specified in the "Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated November 9, 2020 No. 635" (2020-11-09), as this new holiday will be a regular working day.
