The Bénin Minister of Labour and Social Securityhas announced that the government had declared Saturday, May 1st, 2021, as a non-working public holiday throughout Bénin on account of the upcoming Labour Day public holiday ("En raison de la fête du travail, la journée du Samedi 1er mai 2021 est déclarée fériée, chômée et payée sur toute l’étendue du territioire national").
The aforementioned declaration of Saturday, May 1st, 2021, as a non-working public holiday throughout Bénin on account of the upcoming Labour Day public holiday, is in line with the previously-announced list of annual non-working public holidays in the Benin for the calendar year 2021, as announced by the government of Benin, earlier this year (2020-12-31), as well as with the "loi n°90-019 du 27 juillet 1990 fixant les fêtes légales en République du Bénin", as on previous occasions (2021-01-07, 2020-12-22, 2020-10-30, 2020-10-27, 2020-07-30, 2020-05-29, 2020-05-19, 2020-04-30, 2020-01-08, 2019-10-22, ...).
