Chandigarh Declares June 24 Sant Kabir Jayanti Public Holiday

The Government of India's Union Territory of Chandigarh has released the vide notification No.6/1/1-IH(I)-2021/8592, which declares Thursday, June 24, 2021, as a public holiday in the Union Territory of Chandigarh, on account of Sant Kabir Jayanti.
The aforementioned announcement reads as follows: "In partial modification of this Administration's Notification No. 6/1/l-IH(I)-2020/13639-13647, dated 18.12.2020 regarding declaring of Public Holidays in the Union Territory of Chandigarh during the calendar year 2021, the 24th June, 2021 (Thursday) will now be observed as Public Holiday in all the Government Offices/ Boards/ Corporations/ Institutions including Industrial Establishments under the Chandigarh Administration and also within the meaning of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 on account of Sant Kabir Jayanti.".
The promotion of Thursday, June 24, 2021, as a public holiday on account of Sant Kabir Jayanti, thus further amends (2021-06-12, 2021-04-08 and 2021-02-25), the list of 2021 Chandigarh public holidays, as announced by the Government of India's Union Territory of Chandigarh, late last year (2020-12-18), in the Government Notification No. 6/l/l-IH(I)-2020/13639 ("List of Holidays in all Government Offices under the Chandigarh Administration, during the calendar year 2021").
