Cuba's Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad Social (MTSS) has announced that the annual Cuban Revolution Anniversary public holidays would be observed on July 25-26-27, 2021, but that no day in lieu, substitute, public holiday would be given to compensate July 25 falling on a Sunday ("no corresponde trasladar el descanso dominical del día 25 de julio, por ser este un día feriado").
The list of annual non-working public holidays in Cuba for the calendar year 2021, based on "artículo 96 de la Ley 116 del Código de Trabajo", as released by the government of Cuba, earlier this year (2021-01-04), does specify day in lieu substitute public holidays when a public holiday falls on a Sunday ("when the days of national commemoration coincide with a Sunday, it is transferred to the next day").
But, as per today's announcement, by the Cuban MTSS, that "it is not appropriate to transfer the Sunday rest of July 25, as this is a holiday", the expression "transferred to the next day" means exactly that, and not to the next working day, as is often the case in other countries.
