Egyptian Prime Minister, Moustafa Madbouli, has announced that the upcoming Eid al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) Egyptian public holidays would be observed for an extended period, from May 12-16, 2021.

Last year, the Egyptian minister of manpower, Mohamed Saafan, had similarly announced that the 2020 public holidays marking the end of Ramadan, would be extended to 5 days, from May 24-28, 2020, inclusively.

Today's announcement thus further amends (2021-04-28, 2021-04-24, 2021-04-22 and 2021-01-20) the list of official 2021 public holidays in Egypt, as announced by Egypt's Central Bank, earlier this year (2021-01-18).
