Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, has issued a decree declaring a 6-day period of public holidays in Egypt, to mark the upcoming Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) and Revolution Anniversary annual public holidays ("the period from Monday 19 July to Saturday 24 July will be an official holiday marking Eid Al-Adha and the July 23 Revolution anniversary").
Note that the aforementioned July 19-24, 2021, public holidays will apply to all sectors of the economy ("The fully paid holiday will be given to all employees of the public and private sectors").
This is in contrast to previous years, when the announcements carried the mention that "The paid vacation is applicable to the public sector companies, ministries and governmental institutions" (2020-07-27 and 2019-08-07).
A related decision by the Central Bank of Egypt, on the dates when the banks of Egypt will close for the Eid Al-Adha annual non-working bank holidays, should soon follow (2020-07-28, 2019-08-07, 2017-01-07 and 2016-09-09).
