The government of Guyana's Minister Of Public Security, Khemraj Ramjattan, has announced that the government of Guyana had gazetted Wednesday, October 18, 2017, as the date of the upcoming Deepavali non-working public holiday in Guyana.
The aforementioned announcement ("Pursuant To The Provisions Of Sections 3 (1) And 3 (2) Of The Public Holidays Act, Chapter 19:07, Of The Laws Of Guyana, Thursday, November 4, 2021, Is Hereby Declared A Public Holiday."), signed by Robeson Benn, the Minister of Home Affairs, is in line with the dates of the annual non-working public holidays in Guyana for the calendar year 2021, as announced by the Guyana Government Information Agency, late last year (2020-11-27).
