Guyana's Minister of Home Affairs, Robeson Benn, has signed a Gazette Notification declaring Saturday, May 1st, 2021, as a public holiday in Guyana, on account of Labour Day.
The announcement that Saturday, May 1st, 2021, would be the date for the Labour Day annual public holiday of Guyana, does not go on to declare a day in lieu public holiday on Monday, May 3, 2021, as it was on other occasions (2020-02-01), but simply states that "Pursuant To The Provisions Of Section 3 (1) Of The Public Holidays Act, Chapter 19:07, Of The Laws Of Guyana, Saturday May 1, 2021 Is Hereby Declared A Public Holiday.".
