The annual list of bank holidays and non-working public holidays in the Republic of Ireland for the calendar year 2022, has been released.

As usual (2019-07-01, 2018-07-02, 2017-07-03, 2016-07-04, 2015-07-07, 2014-07-03, 2011-11-18 and 2013-01-14), the aforementioned list of bank holidays and non-working public holidays in the Republic of Ireland for the calendar year 2022, includes non-working public holidays as well as banks-only non-working days, and pointedly specifies that "Good Friday is not a public holiday. While some schools and businesses close on that day, you have no automatic entitlement to time off work on that day".

Not mentioned in the above announcement, are the discussions about a one-off post-pandemic public holiday in Ireland (2021-05-05, 2021-01-22, 2020-10-07, 2020-10-05 and 2020-05-07).
