The Government of India's Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has released a Government Order which moves the date of the upcoming Shab-e-Qadr public holiday in Jammu and Kashmir from its initially set date of Sunday, May 9, 2021, to Monday, May 10, 2021 ("In partial modification of Order No. 1159-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated 24.12.2020 and No. 1160-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated 24.12.2020, it is hereby ordered that the holiday on Government account of ‘Shab-i-Qadr” shall now observed 10th May, 2021 (Monday) instead of 9th May, 2021 (Sunday)").

The aforementioned change of date of the Shab-e-Qadr public holiday to Monday, May 10, 2021, thus further amends (2021-03-04) the list of non-working public holidays in Jammu and Kashmir for the calendar year 2021, as released in the Government Order No. 1159-JK(GAD) of 2020 ("List of holidays for the calendar year-2021"), late last year (2020-12-25).
