The States of Jersey (the government of Jersey) have released an updated list of official Jersey non-working public holidays and bank holidays in Jersey for the calendar year 2022, which now includes a bank holiday on Friday, June 3, 2022, on account of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
The States of Jersey had released the list of Jersey 2022 public holidays and bank holidays, earlier this year (2021-08-06), but that list, though it did list the 2022 Spring bank holiday on June 2, 2022, rather than on the last Monday of May, did not list any date for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee 2022.
Recall that, late last year (2020-11-12), the UK's culture secretary, Oliver Dowden, announced that an extra Platinum Jubilee public holiday would be declared on Friday, June 3, 2022, to mark Queen Elizabeth's 70th anniversary on the throne, which, combined with a shift of the 2022 spring bank holiday to Thursday, June 2, 2022, would create a 4-day period of bank holidays.
