Jordanian Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh, has issued a communiqué declaring a non-working public holiday in Jordan on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, to observe observe a public holiday marking Prophet Mohammad’s birthday.

The aforementioned circular declaring Tuesday, October 19, 2021, as the date of the Prophet Mohammad’s birthday public holiday in Jordan, only mentions "all ministries, government departments and public institutions".

However, the inclusion of the private sector is implicit, as per last year's clarification (2020-10-25) by the Ministry of Labour that ("all official and religious holidays in Jordan include both public and private sectors" and that "According to article 59 of the Labour Law, which clarifies the mechanism for making the employer work on his weekly, religious or public holidays, official communications issued for this purpose include private sector institutions without mentioning them in the communications.").

The upcoming Prophet Mohammad’s birthday public public holiday in Jordan on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, is in line with the previously-released (2020-10-30), list of annual non-working bank holidays and public holidays in Jordan for the calendar year 2021.

The Jordanian government often moves mid-week public holidays to the nearest weekend.
