The government of the Indian State of Madhya Pradesh has canceled the previously-announced Muharram public holiday on Thursday, August 19, 2021, to be replaced by a public holidays on Friday, August 20, 2021, in line with the recent change announced by the Central Government Administration.
The aforementioned announcement thus further amends (2021-08-06) the list of the days which were to be non-working public holidays in India's State of Madhya Pradesh during the calendar year 2021, as it was announced in the "Government of Madhya Pradesh vide notification No. F.3.1.2020", late last year (2020-12-08).
Recall that, earlier this month (2021-08-06), the Government of India's State of Madhya Pradesh announced that August 9, World Tribal Day would no longer be a gazetted public holiday, but rather an optional holiday.
