Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Adds March 8 Annual Public Holiday

The parliamentary group leader of the party Die Linke in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state parliament, Jeannine Rösler, has announced that International Women's Day, on March 8th, is to be a new annual public holiday in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, beginning in 2023.

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will thus join the city-state of Berlin which declared Women's Day a new annual public holiday, beginning in 2019 (2018-12-11 and 2018-11-21).
