The Consejo de Gobierno de la Ciudad Autónoma de Melilla has gazetted in the Boletín Oficial de Melilla (BOME), its previously-announced calendario laboral, containing the list of 2022 non-working public holidays in Spain's autonomous region of Melilla.

As per the aforementioned "Acuerdo de 29 de septiembre de 2021, de la Ciudad Autónoma de Melilla, del Consejo de Gobierno, relativo a la aprobación del calendario laboral para el año 2022" (BOME de 30 de septiembre de 2021), and as announced earlier this week (2021-09-28), in 2022, for the first time, Melilla will observe a public holiday for the Eid al-Fitr (End of Ramadan), on May 3, 2022.

To make way for a public holiday for the Eid al-Fitr, the Day of the Statute of Autonomy of Melilla will not be observed as a public holiday in 2022.

Additionally, to include a public holiday for the Feast of Sacrifice (Pascua del Sacrificio) public holiday, the March 19 annual public holiday of Melilla will be omitted, once again (2020-10-02, 2019-10-04, 2018-09-29, 2017-10-08, 2016-10-04, 2015-09-17, 2014-09-27, 2013-10-05 and 2012-10-10).
