Monaco 2022 Public Holidays Amended

Monaco's State Ministry has published a drastically amended version of the list of 2022 non-working public holidays in Monaco that was released last month.

Last month (2021-09-24) the State Ministry had released an official list of 2022 public holidays and bank holidays in Monaco, which restored the practice of declaring bridge public holidays, as well as specific public sector holidays for the annual Grand Prix de Monaco, as was past custom (2014-12-23, 2013-12-16, 2013-01-15, 2012-01-06, 2010-12-30, 2009-12-21 and 2008-12-07).

These bridge public holidays and Grand Prix public holidays had been dropped from the annual list of Monaco public holidays in recent years (2020-10-02, 2019-12-16, 2018-09-24, 2017-10-25, 2016-10-23, 2015-12-28 and 2015-11-01).

In today's amended version of the 2022 public holidays in Monaco, both the bridge public holidays and Grand Prix public holidays have been removed.

Presciently, at the time of that initial announcement, we had mentioned that later amendments to the list of 2022 bank holidays and public holidays in Monaco were always possible (2019-06-09, 2019-05-18, 2019-04-13, and 2019-03-31), although none had been announced during the calendar years 2020 and 2021.
