Mozambique's Ministry of Labor and Social Security has announced a one-off non-working public sector holiday in Mozambique, on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, to all workers, civil servants and citizens who profess the Muslim religion, on the 20th of this month, all day, on the occasion of the celebration of Eid ul- Adha.

The declaration of one-off non-working public sector holidays (tolerância de ponto) is a relatively common feature of Mozambique's official public holidays calendar (2021-05-12, 2021-03-31, 2020-12-29, 2020-12-22, 2020-11-09, 2020-04-09, 2019-12-30, 2019-10-01, 2019-09-03, 2019-08-09, 2019-08-07, 2018-10-09, ...).

Mozambique's Labour Code gives the Minister of Labour the authority to declare one-off public holidays in Mozambique.
