The Home Ministry of the government of Nepal announced that the government of Nepal had declared Sunday, December 19, 2021, as a public holiday in the Kathmandu Valley for this year's Udhauli Parwa festival.
The aforementioned declaration of Sunday, December 19, 2021, as a public holiday in the Kathmandu Valley for this year's Udhauli Parwa festival, represents a slight departure from the gazetted list of official non-working public holidays in Nepal for the Nepalese year 2078 (April 2021-April 2022), released earlier this year (2021-04-02), in which the Udhauli Parwa public holiday was nationwide, but limited to Kiranti employees only.
