Nepal Karnali Declares July 16 Public Holiday For Saune Sakranti and Deuda

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law of Karnali Province of Nepal, has announced that it had declared tomorrow, Friday, July 16, 2021, as a public holiday for "all government and public offices, academic institutions as well as the banks and financial institutions in the province ", on the occasion of the Saune Sakranti and Deuda Festival.

As per the spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law of the Karnali Province, Tul Khadka, "The government announced a public holiday for the publicity and promotion of Deuda culture with special importance in the province".

Such regional public holidays (2021-06-28, 2021-06-26, 2021-04-23, 2021-04-20, 2021-01-17 and 2020-11-19) were not included in last spring's (2021-04-02) gazetted list of official non-working public holidays in Nepal for the Nepalese year 2078 (April 2021-April 2022).
