The Samoan Ministry of Commerce, Industry And Labour has issued a communique confirming that, in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays Act 2008, Friday, Saturday and Monday, April 2, 3, 5, 2021, would be the following dates to be treated as public holidays for Easter ("o Aso Malolo nei o le a fa'amamaluina mo tagata uma mo le fa'amanatuina o le Eseta").
The aforementioned communique ("Public Holidays For Easter 2021"), as signed by the Samoan Chief Executive Officer, Pulotu Lyndon Chu Ling, confirms the expected annual Easter public holidays on Friday, Saturday and Monday, April 2, 3, 5, 2021,
Recall that, at the beginning of this year (2021-01-04), the Samoan Ministry of Commerce, Industry And Labour had released an updated list of the 2021-2023 Samoan public holidays, which contained Thursday and Friday, April 8-9, 2021, as electoral public holidays in Samoa.
These 2 electoral public holidays were most recently confirmed in the communique ("Public Holiday For The 2021 General Elections"), signed by the Samoan Chief Executive Officer, Pulotu Lyndon Chu Ling, which confirmed that Thursday and Friday, April 8-9, 2021, would be public holidays declared for the purposes of the 2021 General Elections (2021-03-20).
