The Samoan Ministry of Commerce, Industry And Labour has issued a communique confirming that Thursday and Friday, April 8-9, 2021, would be public holidays declared for the purposes of the 2021 General Elections ("ia Aso Malolo mo tagata uma mo le Faiga Palota Aoao 2021").
The aforementioned communique ("Public Holiday For The 2021 General Elections"), as signed by the Samoan Chief Executive Officer, Pulotu Lyndon Chu Ling, confirms the initial announcement of Thursday and Friday, April 8-9, 2021, as electoral public holidays in Samoa, in the updated list of the official non-working public holidays in Samoa for the calendar years 2020-2023, released earlier this year by the Samoan Ministry of Commerce, Industry And Labour (2021-01-04).
