South Australian 2023 Public Holidays Released

The Government of the Australian State of South Australia has released its annual list of official non-working public holidays in the Australian State of South Australia, for the calendar year 2023, including the current status of Adelaide Cup public holiday, and the continuation of the Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve public holidays.

The aforementioned list of official non-working public holidays in the Australian State of South Australia for the calendar year 2023 follows another quiet year (2020-01-14, 2019-01-06, 2018-01-07, 2017-01-11, 2016-01-09, 2015-01-12 and 2014-01-11) in terms of public holidays changes, as compared to some of the preceding ones (2013-02-13, 2012-12-10, 2012-09-13, 2012-07-23, 2012-03-22 and 2012-03-04).

The aforementioned announcement of South Australian public holidays for 2023, states that the 2023 date for the Adelaide Cup Day, aka. March public holiday, is "subject to proclamation" (which is still the case for the previously-announced dates of 2021 and 2022 Adelaide Cup Day, although the 2021 date's mention is probably a typo or an oversight).
