Sri Lanka's State Minister of Home Affairs, Chamal Rajapaksa, has published the extraordinary gazette notification 2241/2 declaring 3 additional 2022 bank holidays in Sri Lanka.
Referring to the powers vested in him by Section 11 (1) b of the Holidays Act, No. 29 of 1971, Minister Rajapaksa has declared May 2, October 10, and December 26, 2022, as bank holidays in Sri Lanka, in addition to the previously-announced list of 2022 public holidays (2021-07-06) and 2022 Poya Days (2021-05-16) of Sri Lanka.
