Suriname 2021 Public Holidays Announced

The government of Suriname has released its annual list of expected bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Suriname dates for the calendar year 2021.

The aforementioned list confirms, once again (2020-01-20, 2019-01-14, 2018-01-23, 2017-01-09, 2016-01-23, 2014-02-12, 2014-01-15 and 2013-01-04 and 2012-01-31), the addition, for 2021, of new religious and ethnic public holidays announced in previous years (2010-11-24, 2010-11-13, 2010-10-30, and 2007-08-08).

The announced list of 2021 public holidays in Suriname still includes the February 25 public holiday that the new Minister of the Interior of Suriname, Bronto Somohardjo, is pushing to cancel (2021-01-12).
