Timor Leste Maundy Thursday Public Holiday April 1

The government of Timor Leste has announced that it had once again decided to extend the annual Easter non-working public holidays in Timor Leste, this year by declaring an additional day-off public sector holiday for Maundy Thursday, on April 1, 2021 ("Tolerância de ponto no dia 1 de abril de 2021 a partir das 12:30 horas").

As per the aforementioned announcement, "The Council of Ministers decided to grant tolerance days-off to all officials and agents of ministries or services dependent on them, as well as institutes and bodies integrated in indirect state administration, on April 1, 2021, starting at 12:30 pm".

The aforementioned announcement is in line with the Easter public sector holidays declared in previous years (2020-04-08, 2014-04-15, 2013-03-25, 2012-04-04 and 2011-04-11), but not systematically (2019-04-15, 2018-03-26, 2017-04-10, 2016-03-21 and 2015-03-31).

Last year, in 2020, there was also be a public sector holiday on Easter Monday (2020-04-08), which will not be the case in 2021.
