The UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has, in turn, announced the dates of the upcoming Eid Al Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) public holidays for the UAE private sector, as running from Monday, July 19, until Thursday, July 22, 2021, inclusively.
Since 2019 the UAE government brought the number of public holidays enjoyed by the UAE private sector in line with the number of public holidays enjoyed by the UAE public sector (2019-03-05 and 2019-09-08).
And, indeed, last weekend (2021-07-11), the public sector Eid Al Adha public holidays had been announced by the UAE Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, as also running from Monday, July 19, until Thursday, July 22, 2021.
However due to the 2-day UAE public sector weekend, this means that the public sector public holidays will last 6 days, as confirmed in the announcement by the UAE Federal Authority for Government Human Resources goes on to state that "work for all federal ministries and entities will resume on Sunday, 25th July", which means a 6-day period of Eid Al Adha public sector holidays, due to the adjacent Friday-Saturday weekend (2006-08-15 and 2006-05-31).
Both announcements are in line with last year's announcements (2020-12-19), in which the UAE government laid out its annual list of expected non-working public holidays in the UAE for the calendar years 2021 and 2022.
