The Official Internet Portal of the President of the Republic of Belarus has updated its list of National and Public Holidays and Commemorative Dates based on the Decree No.157 of 26 March 1998, by establishing a new annual holiday, on June 22.

The aforementioned new June 22 national day is named the National Remembrance Day of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian people (День всенародной памяти жертв Великой Отечественной войны и геноцида белорусского народа).

This new June 22 national holiday does not amend the list of 2022 public holidays in Belarus, as specified in the "Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated October 11, 2021 No. 572" (2002-02-04), as this new holiday will be a regular working day.
