Cataluña 2023 Public Holidays Announced

The Department of Business and Labor of the Consell Català de Relacions Laborals has agreed on the annual list of 2023 non-working public holidays in Spain's Autonomous Region of Cataluña, including both the nationwide public holidays in Spain, as well as the Catalonia-specific public holidays (calendario oficial de fiestas laborales para el año 2023).

For the calendar year 2023, the Autonomous Region of Cataluña, follows past practice in setting its list of regional public holidays (2021-06-25, 2020-06-15, 2019-04-25, 2018-07-26, 2017-06-02, 2017-04-02, 2016-05-01, 2015-04-15, 2014-03-12, 2013-09-07, 2013-07-24, 2012-06-29, 2011-05-16, 2010-05-31 and 2009-06-05), with the declaration of Easter Monday and Sant Esteve (December 26).

Cataluña is the only Spanish region that does not observe Maundy Thursday as a public holiday.
