Haiti's Ariel Henry government has announced that Haiti's upcoming Carnival public holidays would be observed on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 1-2, 2022, as well as the afternoon of Monday, February 28, 2022.

It mirrors similar ones made in past years (2019-03-02, 2018-02-10, 2017-02-23, 2016-02-09, 2016-02-08, 2015-02-09 and 2013-02-03), as well as by President Michel Joseph Martelly (2012-02-15 and 2012-07-25), and last year by President Jovenel Moïse (2021-02-13).

Following the 2010 earthquake (2010-02-10), the government of Haiti had canceled the Carnival celebrations and had not declared any additional non-working public holidays for that year (2010-02-14).

The year after (2011-02-28), Carnival celebrations were restored, though no additional non-working public holidays were declared in Haiti for either Carnival Monday, or Ash Wednesday.
