Johor Declares Additional Aidilfitri Public Holiday On May 2nd

The Mentri Besar of Malaysia's state of Johor, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, has announced that the government of Johor had declared May 2nd, 2022, as a state public holiday for "all government-linked companies and private companies in the state".
The May 1st Labour Day public holiday was not to be automatically be compensated with a May 2nd public holiday in the states of Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu, leaving May 2nd as an isolated working day between May 1st and the May 3-4 Hari Raya Aidilfitri public holidays (2021-06-15).
Recall that, a decade ago, Johor joined the Malaysian states of Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu, to also observe a Friday/Saturday weekend (2013-11-23).
