Kenyan Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’i, has issued a statement declaring Monday, May 2nd, 2022, as a day in lieu public holiday in Kenya "by dint of Labour Day falling on Sunday 1st May 2022".
The aforementioned declaration of Monday, May 2, 2022, as a public holiday is in line with the provisions of Section 2 and 4 of the Public Holidays Act (Cap 110), as was the case on previous occasions (2021-12-23).
