The Government of India's state of Kerala has issued the Government of Kerala vide notification G.O.(Rt) No. 2025/2022/GAD declaring Tuesday, May 31, 2022, as a public holiday for Thrikkakara, on account of bye-election in the Thrikkakara Legislative Assembly.
As per the aforementioned vide notification, "All government, semi-government, co-operative and educational institutions shall remain closed" while "Commercial units too are obligated to stay closed under Negotiable Instruments Act". It also specifies that "Residents outside Thrikkakara with vote inside the constituency too shall be eligible for such leave".
The aforementioned notification of a Kerala public holiday on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in Thrikkakara, thus further amends (2022-05-02) the list of Kerala government holidays for the calendar year 2022, included in the Government of Kerala Government Order No. 29/2021/GAD, dated Thiruvananthapuram, 21 October, 2021, as released last autumn (2021-10-21).
