The Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan has finally submitted for public discussion the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On the postponement of holidays in May 2022" (О переносе выходных дней в мае 2022 года).
A couple of months ago, the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan had announced that it had not yet come to a decision regarding the extension of the 2022 public holidays in May 2022, whereby the period from May 1 to May 9, 2022, might be declared as consecutive non-working public holidays (2022-02-09).
At that time, as per the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov, the decision to extend the May 2022 Kyrgyz public holidays would occur during the first trimester of 2022.
As per today's draft proposal, a one-off public holiday on May 4 would be compensated by a working Saturday on April 30, and a one-off public holiday on May 6 would be compensated by a working Saturday on May 14, 2022.
