Romanian 2023 Bank Holidays Announced

The Central Bank of Romania (Banca Nationala a României) has released its official list of 2023 bank holidays in Romania, based on the current Labour Law of Romania which regulates the list of annual non-working public holidays in Romania.

The aforementioned list of 2023 bank holidays in Romania, is based on the latest version of the Labour Law of Romania, as usual (2020-12-28, 2019-12-15, 2019-01-08, 2017-01-08, 2016-01-04 and 2015-01-05).

The list of 2023 Romanian bank holidays is in line with the 2022 list of public holidays in Romania (2021-10-10), and includes all the new annual public holidays declared in Romania over the past decade.

These are: January 24, to commemorate the reunification of Wallachia and Moldavia (2016-10-07 and 2016-09-06), and June 1st, to mark International Children's Day (2016-11-17, 2016-10-18, 2016-09-15, 2016-06-13 and 2016-04-08), Pentecost Sunday and Monday (2008-03-18), the Dormition of the Holy Mary (2008-10-09), and the November 30 Saint Andrew public holiday (2012-06-27 and 2012-05-22).
