Sudan Declares April 6 Public Holiday

The Sudanese Secretariat General of the Council of Ministries has declared Wednesday, April 6, 2022, as a national public holiday throughout Sudan, in anticipation of the upcoming demonstrations planned for that date.

The aforementioned planned demonstrations coincide with the anniversary of the April 6 revolution in 2019 that led to the ousting of former President Omar al-Bashir.
