Uganda Declares May 2nd Public Holiday For The End Of Ramadan

The Ministry of Public Service of the Government of Uganda has published the Official Announcement ADM285/01 informing that, following an announcement by the Second Deputy Mufti and Acting Director of Sharia, Sheikh Muhammad Ali Waiswa, Monday, May 2, 2022, had been declared a public holiday in Uganda on account of the End of Ramadan.
As per the aforementioned announcement, "The Honorable Minister of Public Service informs the general public that Monday 2nd May 2022 is Eid-Al-Fitr and will be observed as a public holiday throughout Uganda".
