04 May 2012 (The Grand Ducal Palace of Luxembourg-Luxemburg) Luxembourg's Prime Minister, Jean-Claude Juncker, has announced that October 20, 2012, the date of the upcoming wedding of Prince Guillaume would not be a non-working national public holiday.  10 May 2008 (JDD) During a recent radio interview, the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Juncker, proposed that May 9th be made an annual public holiday throughout Europe. Background Information

Governing Law: The law lists 10 official public holidays in Luxembourg which count as guaranteed days off work with pay, for all private-sector employees.
