Bangladesh Extends Eid-ul-Azha Public Holidays Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) The government of Bangladesh has announced that the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha (Feast of Sacrifice) public holidays for the public sector would be extended to run from June 5 until June 14, 2025. Recall that, earlier this year, the government of Bangladesh similarly issued an executive order declaring Thursday, April 3, 2025, as an additional public sector holiday on account of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan), so that the public sector was on holidays for 9 consecutive days, from Friday, March 28, until Saturday, April 5, 2025, inclusively. Today's announcement further amends last October's announced list of 2025 public holidays, published by the Advisory Council of Bangladesh's interim military government.

The aforementioned tally includes 6 new municipalities; Martkrodach in Upper Franconia, Bayerisdorf and Weisendorf in Middle Franconia, Schwebheim in Lower Franconia, and Memmingerberg and Oettingen in Swabia. On the other hand, Seßlach and Marktschorgast in Upper Franconia will no longer observe August 15 as a public holiday.
