Peru's President, Alejandro Toledo, signed decree Nº 020-2003-PCM which sets out in advance the 2003 list of official public sector holidays in Peru.
The dates of these pubic sector holidays, in 2003, are: Friday May 2, Friday August 29, and Friday December 26.
This announcement, covering the entire year, ahead of time, is meant to replace the piecemeal declaration of civil service bridge public holidays that occurred in the past (28-Nov-2002 and 19-Oct-2001).
