Cayman Islands Public Holidays Law Amended

(Posted on Tuesday, July 12, 2005)

Source: Cayman Islands Government Information Services (GIS)

The government of the Cayman Islands has gazetted the Public Holidays Law (2005 Revision) which includes the consequences of the Elections Law (2004 Revision).

As such the Schedule to the aforementioned law lists in point 11, The day appointed under the Elections Law (2004 Revision) for the taking of the poll at a general election in the Islands (14-Oct-2004).

The law also repeals all provisions of the Public Holidays Law (2003 Revision) (14-Jul-2003), although the aforementioned point 11 is the same in both the Public Holidays Law (2005 Revision) and the Public Holidays Law (2003 Revision).
