Government agencies and official organization would be closed for a second day, on Thursday, January 31, 2008. The private sector is expected to follow. Universities will also be closed, and schools are currently on school term holidays.
In compensation for today's and yesterday's unscheduled public holiday (30-Jan-2008), the government has announced that Saturday, usually part of the weekend in Jordan, will be a regular working day.
