Argentina 2010 Public Holidays Announced

(Posted on Friday, August 14, 2009)

Source: Ministerio del Interior (Buenos Aires)

Argentina's Ministry of the Interior has released the list and dates of the official public holidays in Argentina in 2010.

The list does not contain any surprises and follows the recent amendment on the moving of the October 12, Día de la Raza, public holiday (01-Oct-2008).

As expected, the Public Holidays Law Reform of late last year (18-Dec-2008) did not pass in time for the announcement of the 2010 public holidays. Recall that the said bill would, after years of repeated demands (11-Feb-2007), restore Carnival Monday and Carnival Tuesday, as non-working days, nationwide (21-May-2004).
