The government of Australia's State of Queensland has officialized the date of Monday, December 28, 2009, as a day in lieu substitute public holiday for Christmas Day which falls on a Saturday in 2009.
In related news, the Australian Stock Exchange has confirmed that it would remain in operation on Monday, August 28, 2009, the date of the upcoming Queen's Birthday public holiday in the State of Western Australia.
