A spokesman for Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers, Akif Ali, has announced that the four last days of November would be non-working public holidays on the occasion of the Gurban Bayrami, aka. Eid al-Adha, public holidays.
The decision to make November 30th a day in lieu non-working public holiday was taken because Gurban Bayrami occurs on November 27 and 28, in 2009, and as November 28, 2009, is a Saturday.
This declaration and the similar one for the End of Ramadan public holiday (01-Sep-2009) is in line with our estimate at the time of the official publication of Azerbaijan public holidays for 2009 (14-Dec-2008).
