The press office of the Government of Belize has announced the official list of 2010 public holidays in Belize.
Contrary to what was done in 2008 (30-Jun-2008), but similar to what was done in 2004 and initially in 2009 (30-Dec-2003 and 04-Jan-2008), the government of Belize did not avail itself of the discretionary powers of article 9 of the Belize Holidays Act (2000, revised 2003) and did not declare a day in lieu public holiday for the May Day public holiday, though it did declare a day in lieu public holiday on December 27.
Note, however, that these omissions are often corrected later in the year by the government of Belize (20-Nov-2008).
