The Government of Bhutan has finally, officially, confirmed the change of date of the upcoming Coronation Day of Druk Gyalpo public holiday.
As we had reported last summer (20-Jul-2009), Bhutan's Home Ministry had announced that the Coronation Day of Druk Gyalpo Jigme Khesar public holiday would be observed, starting in 2009, on November 1st, rather than November 6, and that, in addition, as November 1st falls on a Sunday, the government had declared the Monday, November 2, 2009 as an additional, one-off, day in lieu public holiday.
