Bolivia's government has finally confirmed that there would be a regional public holiday, in late September or in October, in each of the 9 Bolivian departments.
The possibility of declaring regional public holidays to facilitate the biometric registration of citizens, in view of the December 6, 2009, elections, had been in the news, regularly, since it was first mentioned last May (11-May-2009, 26-Jun-2009, 30-Jul-2009, and 24-Aug-2009).
