Ecuador's President, Rafael Correa, has put an end to persistent rumours that the government was getting ready to declare both Thursday, December 24, and Thursday, December 31, 2009, as additional one-off non-working public holidays.
The aforementioned rumours were strongly fueled by past years' declarations to that effect (29-Nov-2008 and 09-Dec-2007).
