An editorial in today's influential Haaretz newspaper makes the case for postponing the upcoming February 10 elections by 60 days. The Basic Law on the Knesset guarantees that Election Day be a national public holiday in Israel.
But the editorial also reiterates past arguments (16-Nov-2008) that the granting of a public holiday on Election Day should be cancelled.
